Pushtimarg: The Path of Devotion and Selfless Service to Lord Krishna

The Origins of Pushtimarg:

Shree Vallabh Sampraday known as Pushtimarg was founded in the early 16th century by Shree Vallabhacharyaji, a Vailyanaadu Telang Brahmin from Kankaward, Telangana. The followers of pushtimarg are known as Vaishnavs and they believe Krishna is the supreme power and they live a Krishna-centric life.

The Essence of Pushtimarg Philosophy:

Vallabhacharyaji considered himself a Krishna das so the followers of Pushtimarg or Vallabhacharyaji consider them as dasa nu das, they impersonify Krishna as their family members do the selfless seva considering themselves as aid to gopikas & vrajbhakts serving Krishna selflessly. Vaishnavs serve the lord with the best of everything, their love for Krishna is pure and niswarth (without any motive). There is no class, creed, or religion-based discrimination to enter this path but only and a must thing required to attain Krishna seva is selfless and endless love for Krishna; for a Vaishnav seva is considered superior to moksha.

Selfless Service: The Path to Krishna’s Seva:

Pushtimarg is a bhav pradhan marg, whatever little seva they do, the bhav behind is of “Prabhu sukh arth” whatever seva, in the form of daily ashtayaam seva, manorath, keertan, Utsav’s they do it is for the Sukh of Krishna & described by Shri Vallabhacharyaji who’s Pushti Bhakti marg and traditions were expanded by Aapshree’s two lalan Shri Gopinathji & Shri Vitthalnathji (Gusaiji).

The Havelis: Abodes of Divine Love:

Vaishnavs consider Shreenathji Dham Nathdwara Rajasthan as the only main temple, the rest where the Navnidhi swaroop resides are known as havelis, a resemblance of Nandbaba’s home in Gokul where Krishna lives. A Haveli is not only an architectural structure made of bricks and mortar it’s an emotion carved out beautifully by Shri Vallabhacharyaji and his descendants, to keep alive the various traditions of the marg along with the rules and regulations of the sampradaya.
