Shri Navanit Priyaji, “The One who loves fresh butter”, is a form of Child Krishna crawling on the floor with a ball of butter in His right hand. Shri Navanita Priyaji was found in the Yamuna River by a Kshatriya woman near Mahavan and was presented to Shri Vallabhacharya. This Svarupa was daily worshipped by Shri Gusainji in Gokul and he presented His seva to his eldest son Girdharji, who later passed it on to his son Gopinath. On major festivals, Shri Navanita Priyaji sits with Shri Nathji, but also enjoys His own separate Haveli just next to Shri Nathiji.
Shri Gusainji explains, “Shri Navanit Priyaji is the form of Child Krishna that resides with mother Yashoda. Shri Krishna as Shri Navanita Priyaji plays like an infant in front of her.
